So many things have happened in 2018, and I have a feeling that there is so much more to come. For this post, I’d like to share a few major happenings from 2018 and a few goals I’ve come up with for 2019. Here we go!
2018:
January - we hit the half mark(ish) during my husbands deployment. We had our one year anniversary, and celebrated over FaceTime. And my husband turned 26!
April - I got into contact with my birth dad and his family for the very first time.
May - My wonderful husband returned home safely from Afghanistan! We took a vacation and then I met my birth Dad, sisters and my Grandma on that side of the family.
July - I made a major decision that would impact me forever, and had a hysterectomy due to many complications and issues with my endometriosis and pelvic congestion.
We also adopted our second fur baby, Maurice “Big Pimpin’” Wrobel.
October - I made another big decision and quit my job, started a blog, and our family moved onto our local Air Force Base. We also adopted our third fur baby Salem the Black Cat.
Those are just a few things that have happened this year!
Here are some goals that I set for the New Year, that I wanted to share with you:
1. Cut out toxicity. That means disconnecting myself from negative platforms and people that I do not agree with, or that are bringing more harm into my life than good.
2. Love myself, every inch and every fault. Accept that I cannot change some things about myself, but I can treat them or I can learn to accept them with unconditional love.
3. Find and listen to music that I have never listened to before!
4. Re-do/Re-create my yoga/meditation room
5. Continue my blog, and my self care journey, despite what others might say
6. Continue to be my true self, and finding out who she really is
Remember to be practical and loving in the New Years resolutions and goals that you set for yourself. These are just a few of many that I have written on a mirror. Don't forget to love yourself, be yourself, and let my self care journey be the light you might need in your new year.
Happy New Year,
Mell W.
